JSS Medical College, IndiaTitle: Screen Time and Child Brain Development: Cognitive, Behavioural, and Neurobiological Implications
Abstract
The proposed symposium aims to thoroughly examine the impact of screen time on child brain development, focusing on cognitive, behavioural, and neurobiological outcomes. As the use of screen-based devices becomes increasingly ubiquitous in children's lives, it is imperative to understand the potential consequences of excessive screen time. The symposium will focus on comprehensive analysis and synthesis of existing literature to provide valuable insights into the complex relationship between screen time and child brain development. It will cover various topics, including cognitive and academic performance, behavioural outcomes, and the underlying neural mechanisms.
